     It costs an average of $4.86 to prepare and serve one meal. In order to continue to serve the same number and quality of meals for Fiscal Year 2009/2010, it will be necessary to increase the revenue coming into the program.

 

     During Fiscal Year 2008/2009 (October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009) 71% was paid by federal and state funding, 20% was paid by donations from participants (an average donation per participant of $0.98 cents per meal) and 9 % through fundraising efforts and from other sources.

 

     Your donation is a vital part of the nutrition program. The minimum suggested contribution for a meal, whether served at one of the nutrition sites or delivered to your home, is $2.00. If you can afford to donate more, it will be very much appreciated. We also accept food stamp as donations for the meals.
